“Masquerade” is 2PM’s fifth Japanese single and eleventh Japanese digital single. It was released in three formats, two CD+DVD limited editions and a regular CD Only edition. Originally, the single was to be released with the B-Side track called “Stay here” and the CD Only edition was supposed to come with an extra track called “Falling in love”, composed by Jun.K, with the original intended release date of August 29th. However, its release was postponed due to the controversy that arouse regarding Nichkhun’s car accident. The single’s tracklists were slightly altered, with a new B-side track called “Forever” composed by Junho, and a CD Only edition bonus track of Masquerade (ArmySlick’s bavtronic mix). The other two original songs (“Stay here” and “Falling in love” were officially stated on 2PM’s Japanese website to be released on future releases).
