JYPE through SportsSeoul Korea confirmed the Solo debut singles this June, back to back with 2AM's Jokwon. JYPE said this will be a friendly battle between the 2 groups pride 2PM and 2AM.

The main stars of this are 2PM’s Wooyoung & 2AM’s Jo Kwon. According to the latest news from music representatives, both of them will be releasing solo albums side by side next month. Both individual and their own team’s pride are under the line and will be stripped for this competition.
Wooyoung’s solo debut has been a heated topic and never-ending topic among fans this year. Especially, Wooyoung even had already said earlier via his twitter : “We will surprise the world soon” and posted a picture with another 2PM member Junsu at a recording studio which later became a hot topic among fans. 2PM’s main vocal, Junsu had ‘stand alone’ by the name Jun.K and released a solo single ‘Alive’ last October, so there’s also a speculating rumor whether Wooyoung will be having a unit with Junsu or not.
Wooyoung will be the second member from 2PM who’ll be having solo single after Junsu and will be able to show off his skills as a soloist. Music representatives said that Wooyoung, among the 2PM members is the member who has powerful fandom. JYP entertainment’s Park Jinyoung once said,”He has the most outstanding vocal talents and performance skills among the members,” By this, Wooyoung’s solo later next month is expected to be a success as well.
Jo Kwon, at the other hand had already released his first solo earlier at July 2010. That time he’s still doing MBC’s We Got Married with BEG’s Gain and garnered lots of popularity through his single titled ‘The Day I’m Doing Confession’. That song took the #1 place at various music chart and Jo Kwon gained popularity as a solo artist too. He also gained lots of popularity through 2AM’s latest song from their 3rd mini album called ‘I Wonder if You Hurt Like Me Too’ which released last March.
As 89 liners, Wooyoung and Jo Kwon had known each other for such a long time, they’ve been together ever since their trainee days at JYP entertainment and become close friend because of that. Last December, Wooyoung and Jo Kwon were having a trip together to Japan, and since the pictures of it were uploaded through their twitter, it garnered a hot attention from the fans.
